各国はこれまで、コロナの陰性証明がないと入国できないのがルールでしたが、不必要になる国が出てきました。嬉しい緩和です。海外旅行が少しずつ復活してきます。
今朝のBBCニュースからご紹介します。
The US will no longer require air travellers to have proof of a negative Covid-19 test before entering the country from abroad.
アメリカは、もはや、海外からの入国時にコロナの陰性証明を旅行者に要求しなくなります。
Officials said they were dropping the requirement due to the “tremendous progress” the country had made in the fight against the virus.
当局は、これまでコロナとの戦いで大きな進歩をしたことから、陰性証明の要求を止めることにしたと言っています。
The travel industry has been pushing for an end to the policy, which they say has deterred bookings, as families fear getting stranded abroad.
旅行産業はこの政策に対し廃止を要求してきました。この規制で、家族連れは海外で足止めされることを恐れることから、予約が抑制されてきたと業界は言っています。
The change comes into effect on Sunday.
変更は日曜日から実施されます。
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) will re-evaluate the policy in 90 days.
アメリカ疾病予防管理センターは、90日後に再評価する予定です。
